The name In real life, Claudia Höll-Wellmann, I became "Wollmeise" in 2002 when I founded the company "Rohrspatz & Wollmeise". Even though "Rohrspatz", my husband, no longer designs his beautiful iron pavilions in favor of wool, the name has grown dear to our hearts and we have kept it.

My career as a craftsman began with knitting. Always looking for the right materials, patterns and, above all, colors for my designs, I quickly reached the limits of the color palettes that were common in stores at the time. So I dyed my wool myself - and a new world opened up for me. When playing with colors, the possibilities are endless and I hope to discover many new and exciting things. I try to dye very specific colors. I let myself be guided by nature, by things that I come across or by moods: Spice Market, stormy skies, mouse ballet.

When it comes to quality, I'm a nitpicker. I choose materials very critically and I want to deliver the best possible goods. We work to a very high quality standard, which doesn't always make it easy for us - but I wouldn't accept anything else.
